Earlier this week we were in attendance providing projected CART services for the Florida Rehabilitation Council‘s quarterly meeting held at the Hilton Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida. Â On different days, we tried different means of delivery. Â On the first day, we used our Text on Top wireless realtime software with two separate laptops and on the second day, we just used our Eclipse software and projected our own screen.
Both days we were cabled in to the AV equipment using our Rolls personal monitor amp — a real lifesaver given the number of speakers in attendance.  You’re able to adjust the sound level of the audio feed to your own liking.  No more straining to hear what anyone’s saying.  Better yet, before any council member spoke, they would state their name.  By the afternoon of the first day, I rarely had to look up to put the name with the voice coming through my headphones.
On a fun side note — the conference room was freezing.  I had the good fortune of sitting next to Janet Severt of   New Horizon’s Service Dogs  Throughout the day, her two young retrievers in training would take turns sleeping on my feet.  The best foot warmers you could ask for!
