Robbie Robinson, R.I.P.

I just heard Judge Conway’s husband died this past weekend.  I knew he was ill a few weeks ago when my sister told me she ran into the Judge in the hospital waiting room.  We were there at the hospital with our father, who was there for heart surgery.

It’s almost twenty years ago when I first met Robbie, soon after I was hired as Judge Conway’s court reporter in the Middle District of Florida.  I’d usually see him at the Christmas parties.  Always good natured, easy to talk to, a great sense of humor and quick to laugh. Since leaving the courthouse, naturally, I didn’t see him as often, but when I did, it was like old home week.

R.I.P. Robbie.  You will be missed.
