All Good Reporters recommends The Abbey

We had a chance to visit The Abbey in downtown Orlando last night.  It’s a new lounge located in the first floor of the Sanctuary highrise off of Eola Avenue.  All Good Reporters was one of the sponsors for the Central Florida Paralegal Association’s Mixer and Membership Drive.

The wait staff was very friendly and helpful.  The interior was clean, but a little on the dark side (black interior).  Very large dance floor — no one was dancing as it was a little early and this was a business function.  A nice selection of music, although a little on the loud side.  It wouldn’t be a place for intimate conversations.

It seemed like old home week for us.  We reconnected with people we worked with at the Orange County Courthouse in the late 80’s and early 90’s and we reconnected with other reporters we worked with at the Seminole County Courthouse in the late 70’s and early 80’s.  At the time, all their kids were babies and toddlers; now, they’re college graduates.

It seems like yesterday.  How time flies when you’re having fun.
